Nebraska and Blue Jasmine - North and South

Not sure it is the age but something is pulling me to watch more movies on human relations. It turned out the fate is thinking so. it made me watch these two movies - Nebraska and Blue Jasmine.

If you still believe in human relations and what best and worst can it bring watch these two movies. Complete opposite to each other.
Nebraska - where a family can come together in the face of turmoil and Blue Jasmine - where breaking apart can bring turmoil. Nebraska - sad starting to happy ending. BJ - Sad ending from high starting.

But both will make you aware of and believe some of the emotions we are leaving behind and what values can bring those emotions back.

Nebraska - A son at middle age can make his old dad very happy by treating him like a 5 year old son who is just stubborn on the thing he wants. How you can repay a part of dad's love. What a good old friend can do. What you should do....

BJ - How a family value is more useful than riches and style. How you can get carried away with money and loose the values. How things can get spoiled in a perfect setting.. What you should never do..

Love these two movies. Cried, got scared, felt happy, felt jealous, disappoitnted with some of the things I did.. Went through all the emotions once. What else better a movie can do to you?

MC for Tantex event

Was asked to be MC for the Tantex Sankranthi 2014 event along with Shirisha garu. Here is the script I prepared to talk. It is very different to talking than writing. Whole different world.

నీ చేతి వంట

నీ చేతి వంట, మాడినా నేను తింటా

ఎందుకలా చూస్తావంటా, తినకపోతేనే తంటా

ఈ రోజు వంట చేసింది నీవు కాదనుకుంటా

మరు రోజు కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తూ ఉంటా 

మాడుచక్కలు తింటే మహారాజులు అవుతారంట

అని నీకు చిన్నప్పుడు ఎవరో చెప్పారంటా

అది అవసర సత్యమే కాని అక్షర సత్యం కాదంటా

నన్ను మాడు చక్కలతో మహారాజును చేయ్యోద్దంటా

వరుసగా రెండు రోజులు మాడ్చావు వంట

అందుకే ఈ కడుపు మంట

అందరికీ చెప్పానని ఏమీ అనుకోవంటా

అందుకని ముందే క్షమించమంటా

మరలా వండనా అని అడిగావు ఓరకంట

ఆ చూపుకు అర్థం మాకూ తెలుసునంట

అది రాబోవు ప్రళయ గర్జనలకు మచ్చు తునకంట

అందుకే తింటాను మారు మాట్లాడకుండా.

అమ్మ- ప్రపంచం.

ఇంట్లో నాన్నని కొపపడే అమ్మకి అయినా
                నేనంటే మాత్రం విపరీతమయిన ప్రెమ.

ప్రపంచంలో ఎవరితో అసంతృప్తిగా వున్నా
నన్ను మాత్రం తృప్తిగా గుండెలకు హత్తుకుంటుంది.

తను పండుగలు అంటూ ఏమీ నమ్మదు.
             నేను నవ్వితే మాత్రం తనకి రోజూ పండుగే.

అమ్మకి ప్రపంచం వేరు నేను వేరు. 
నేనే అమ్మ ప్రపంచం

అందుకే నాకు అమ్మ వేరు. ప్రపంచం వేరు.

కానీ ఆ అమ్మ ఈ ప్రపంచానికే వేరు.
ఆ వేరు నుంచే కదా ఈ నా ప్రపంచం అంతా పుట్టింది, పెరిగింది.

అలా అని అమ్మకి దిష్టి పెట్టకండే.

Back to Basics - and I love it.

My new gadget. Nokia 100. A basic phone with color/Radio/music/games/flash light etc. Boots in 5 seconds. Literally can make a call within 5 seconds once powered on. Charged on Monday and still it is going on with 20% charge. I love it.

After using all these smart phones for last 10 years Blackberry,IPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Droids etc.. I am loving going back to basics.

All this is for $20.00.

Enjoying my new gadget at Hilton Chennai. Its beautiful to go back to basics once in a while. Very nostalgic.
